San Sebastian Lunch for Group of 8

Hi all, looking for a lunch spot in San Seb for a group of 8 under 40's. People are flying in from around the world so we'd like somewhere special and an experience, yet not formal or too expensive.

We tried reservations at Asador Etxebarri, but they were fully committed. Mugaritz was another consideration, but it's price prohibitive for some in our party.

  1. We had lunch at Bodegon Alejandro, and it was really good.

It was asparagus season, and one of my courses was five fat spears of perfectly-cooked white Navarro asparagus, with a runny-yolked egg. Absolutely lovely.

Not at the level of Etxebarri or Mugaritz, but you can probably actually secure a table! And it's right in the old town.
