SF Bay Area Board "Last Updated" dates wrong

  • 6

Right now when I sort the board using Recency the most recent "Last Updated" date is in mid July. That is not right. Something changed between yesterday and today.

While attempting to report this bug, I discovered a potential interface design issue. I noticed that now more posts will be revealed as the user scrolls down and reaches the end of the browser window. That is fine if what one intends to do is to read more posts. I however was trying to click on "feedback" on the bottom banner menu which gets pushed out of sight continuously as more posts are added to the bottom. So in a way that bottom banner menu is unusable unless one gets to the very last post archived.

  1. Is this on a mobile device? If so, which kind?

No. I am using Firefox 23.0.1 on a Windows machine. When I search for any keywords on the SF board, the last updated date is up to 7/30/2013 today. Yesterday it was around 7/15/2013.

I didn't realize you were searching rather than viewing the board directly by the index. It sounds like that might be related to the problem being discussed over here in the search announcement thread: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/9105...

Does that sound like the same issue you're having?

Yes. I believe the dates were correct on Monday. So it appears that indexing was done but somehow dissolved between Monday and Tuesday. Now it's catching back up again gradually.

Is there any plan to address the interface issue I mentioned in the second part?

When I do a search now, narrowed down to the SF board, I'm seeing results updated yesterday (8/21).

So let us know if you're still seeing the issues you mentioned above.

Looks like it's all caught up now for me too.
