Camden Yards?

  • 5

Visiting Baltimore for a day next weekend and hitting Camden Yards Sunday afternoon for an Orioles game. Best suggestions for brunch prior or dinner after around the stadium or the Inner Harbor area? First-time visitor, any suggestions appreciated. Looking for something authentic to Baltimore, something with micro-brews would be a nice feature. Thanks in advance!

  1. For brunch prior, I'd rec Miss Shirley's on Pratt Street. For dinner, take a cab over to Fells Point and try Thames Street Oyster House.

    1. Inside the Oriole Park there are now stands for each of two local microbreweries on-draft: Flying Dog & Heavy Seas. There's also Rick Dempsey's microbrewery inside the Park, but we've pretty much stuck with Heavy Seas.

Food-wise inside the Park there's Boog's BBQ, but nothing else I've found memorable.

      Any additional suggestions?

      1. Dinner afterwards, Alewife is only a few blocks away and has good food (smoke burger gets rave reviews) and an impressive beer list, about 40 taps. Service can be hit or miss, though.

I rarely eat in the ballpark but did try the edamame steamed buns at the Korean BBQ stand, and they were surprisingly good.

        1. A short cab ride north of Camden Yards is Brewers Art. Decent food and they brew their beer. FoiGras

          1. Ryleigh's Oyster House in Federal Hill. Park in the Cross Street Garage and it's just around the corner.
