Indy dinners for a solo diner

caseys Aug 18, 2013 03:03 PM

Going to be in downtown Indy. Looking for some dinner recs that would be appropriate for solo dining. Eating in the bar is fine if the atmosphere is conducive to eating. Places like Libertine, Bluebeard, and St Elmo's look good. Would they be appropriate?

Everything here is right...St. Elmo's, Libertine, Bluebeard, R Bistro, Black Market. If you are staying downtown you can easily walk to Libertine and St. Elmo's.

Yes, all three places are appropriate for dining alone.
Also consider Black Market at the end (or beginning of Mass Ave) and R Bistro.
Oh, and Cerulean and Platt 99 (the bar at The Alexander Hotel).

I don't know Libertine or Bluebeard, but have eaten alone at the bar at St. Elmo's and they make a nice steak and a hell of a shrimp cocktail.
