I was buying meets today for a week at the cottage and my small organic market didn't have any steaks left. So, I bought tip sirloin roast to cut into steaks. I think they will need to be marinated to tenderize them before grilling.

Any thoughts, advice, recipes?

TIA!

  1. You could try cutting it into thin strips then pounding the strips flat with a meat mallet. Would work in a stir fry or cheese steaks. May be good just searing it to a medium rare, and cutting it into cubes over a steak salad too.

    1. Fajitas work well with tips...

      1. You can make nice thin cut pieces of the tips to make Chinese stirfry.

        1. I'm a huge fan of actually roasting the sirloin tip. Fourunder gives great directions on getting a perfect roast.

          1. Thank you all! I have not cooked the roast - brought too much food! - and will try slow roasting. Love fajitas idea too.
