I have wanted to check out Dock n Roll, and need 2-3 others to round out a weekday lunch crawl sometime soon. Where's your best spots and go-to dish anywhere south of the river?

Dock and Roll: Lobster Roll (any variety but Main Event is great for 1st time). LA BBQ: Moist Brisket, Beef Rib

I have mixed feelings about trying LA. Heard some bad press on conduct, but if the food's that good, I'll give it a try.

It took me a good while too Amysue, I didn't feel like cheating on J.M., but it's really good. I took some folks over there a few weeks ago and we had pork ribs, turkey, brisket and sausage and it was all great. The turkey was the best I've had off of a smoker in Texas - must've been perfectly brined b/c it was wring it out moist. The sausage was great as well - those two were the surprise standouts. The free Lonestar from a keg buffet in the 20 min. line (worth every second) was a treat too. They ran out of beef ribs by our arrival around 11:35 a.m. FYI. This was a thursday.

Someone recently mentioned Ah La Cart here and I tried it and quite liked it. They are doing a vaguely healthy thing which is a nice break from most trailers grease and carb fests.
