Toronto Chowhound willing to splurge visiting Atlanta for a few days looking for recommendations for a couple of outstanding restaurants with excellent food, great service and a special ambience. For those familiar with Toronto, something like Splendido, Scaramouche, or Auberge de Pommier.

Again, you might want to start by reading through some of the existing threads. Also, any additional information you can provide would be helpful...where are you staying? Will you have a car? How far are you willing to drive? "Atlanta" is a huge, sprawling area that covers hundreds of square miles.

Here are some existing threads that might help:

Thanks carolinadawg you have given me exactly what I was looking for both for Atlanta and Charleston. I know how frustrating it is when I try to answer this kind of question.

Will be staying at the Westin Peachtree, will have a car and usually willing to drive as far as necessary for a memorable dinner.

Any report on where you ate? Thanks!
