Are there any Ethiopian restaurants in LA area other than S. Fairfax?

We really like Fresh Ethiopian Restaurant at 1580 Centinela Ave. Inglewood, CA. It's a little rough around the edges, but the food makes up for it. And it's run by a very nice family.

        Awash on Pico Blvd.

Thanks! I'll have to check them out online. Every Ethiopian place I've been to have all been rough around the edges ... but such good food!!

On Fairfax, Meals by Genet is the most refined of them all. It looks more like a bistro than an Ethiopian restaurant.

Some of the best service I have had at any restaurant ever

and some of the worst service too.
(had a server that was clearly unfamiliar with the food)

They have 2, and Sean's been there a while and he's great at explaining everything.

Yeah...I was gonna say "sure there are, but why go anywhere else as long as Genet's cooking?" Just the best.

And I believe you, westsidegal, but good help's hard to find sometimes. All of my servers have been wonderful.

...nom nom nom...I need a Genet fix, SOON...

<<why go anywhere else as long as Genet's cooking?>>

among other reasons, they are closed mondays and tuesdays. and, iirc, they are never open for lunch

sometimes ya gotta eat on a monday or a tuesday.

also, if you are looking for a vegetarian meal, there is much more variety to be had at rahel.
