"Reiner will lead the resort’s beverage program, drawing much of her inspiration from her native Oahu by using the freshest fruits, spices and spirits in her original cocktails."

I follow Julie Reiner on Twitter and she just posted a photo with the caption "almost ready to open."

Yeah, there's going to be a Morimoto there as well.

Very excited for the prospect of actual craft cocktails on both Maui and Kauai now.

        Aloha Kathryn!

        It's beyond exciting. .
Now, if we can get Tiki Iniki open by mid Sept, that would be the ultimate trifecta.

Side note..did you see the Todd Rundgren gig with Daryl Hall @ Live at Daryl's House in Hanalei?
        Outstanding!

We will be on Maui over Labor Day. Will try to check it out.

I should say that the best cocktails prior to this on Maui have been at Merriman's Kapalua. Not perfect, but they do actually make some of their own bitters, etc. so it has been my go-to when on that side of the island.

Has drinks here last night. Kind of a weird location overlooking the infinity pools but with the busy & open air Ka'ana Kitchen behind you so their music kind of bleeds over. Good place to watch the sun set.

Service was good but a little hovering. Fresh juices, house made syrups, but only "cheater" ice with the big holes in it. Would have been nice to have those big ice cubes for the boozy & stirred drinks.

Enjoyed the Holiday in Jalisco, Paia Town, and Kona Squall. Kona Squall as the best of the three as they use Bulleit and Zacapa 23 to make it.. Macadamia nut orgeat, too. Tried the pork buns (2 to an order, overstuffed, hard to eat, only OK) and the mochiko ribs (kimchee on top seemed unnecessary, ribs themselves were good, six to an order, also pricey).
