Where is the best authentic polish butcher that makes an outstanding polish, very garlicky, kielbasa?

      gene's ( ??eugenes"s) sausage shop---about 5000 west +- on belmont
bobaks --they have a plant and outlet on archer near midway airport
gene's also has a sort of relted--yuppieish outlet on lincoln ave near lawrence---it's pretty good but not like the original

Yeah Gene's on Belmont is like Willy Wonka's for cured meat lovers. A whole wall of tasty kielbasas for cheap prices. Their fresh meat is well-priced too. I've seen chicken drumsticks for 69 cents a pound there.

Another one is Endy's Deli at 3055 North Milwaukee Avenue. A bit smaller selection, but the location is more central and convenient. But honestly any Polish Deli on the northwest side will have what you seek.

Andy's Deli on the northwest side of Chicago is a standout.

Sometimes there is a line and some of the other customers can be aggressive (they grew up waiting in line for meat in the Old Country!). Also, with some of the clerks there is a bit of a language barrier, but ask for something with lots of garlic and you should be understood.
Stick to your guns and you will be rewarded.
