Nice Westchester or Rockland place for Oysters- not too expensive

yeshana Aug 12, 2013 12:12 PM

Looking for a not so expensive place for Oysters and a good vodka martini.

I don't like the outside at Half Moon- plastic cups is unacceptable for a Martini.

Thanks in advance!

The AMAZING grilled oysters at North in Armonk are $3 each and they have delicious drinks, too. I know I eat at North quite frequently but I have to say these grilled oysters are really something!

Yum! Do they have raw too? I actually was only thinking raw.

The menu changes often based on the market and what's available, so I'm not sure I can give you a "right" answer on that. The past few times we've been there, the prep was grilled and replaced into the shell for slurping. :) You could always give them a call and ask. A number of those delicious oysters, drinks and a salad or side to share and you could be golden.

Check out Farmer and the Fish in Purdys. Outstanding cocktails and the seafood raw bar is impeccable. Lots of varieties of fresh oysters (east and west coast). Not necessarily cheap, but not over the top either.
