Anyone tried Phat Ky (China Chef), Houston? I did

Tried China Chef Phat Ky tonight, an above average Vietnamese place just off the southbound feeder of 59 at Wilcrest.

It was a lot more convenient than driving to Chinatown and I'm glad we tried it, I'll go back.

Tonight's menu for us, which is what we often get at a new restaurant: Spring rolls, oysters with ginger and scallions, snow pea leaves with garlic, beef flat noodles with black bean sauce, and chrysanthemum tea.

Looking at other tables, the fried squid looked popular, and some hot pot dishes. If you look at the counter you'll see a few desserts which can be ordered for the table or to go. There was a large creme caramel, something that was probably a rice cake, and a jello thing and I'll try them next time.

China Chef Phat Ky, 10829 W. Bellfort,
Houston, TX 77099, 281-495-0137

A Google search finds the address on Bellfort but I think it's really on Wilcrest.

  1. I agree that it's an above average place. I go there for lunch. The staff is very friendly, the food is above average and worth giving it a try. The closet place that is better is located on Hwy 6 and Dulles. Not too many Viet places in this area.
