Help!! I'm stuck out at a hotel just north of DFW. Never been to Dallas and will be here for nearly a month. Is there any hope for good food near hear? If not what are recommendations in the city? Looking for those great neighborhood casual - great food restaurants (like everyone else i guess)
Thanks

You are not that far from Ft. Worth. I would go to Angelos, Railhead, Reata and any of the restaurants around Sundance Square. The square is a happening place.

Send me your e-mail address and I'll send you the writeups I've done on my favorite places in the Metroplex. They include Lee's Barbecue in Haslet, First Chinese BBQ (three locations, the nearest to you being at Belt Line and Josey in Carrollton), Corky's Pizza in Arlington, Babe's Chicken Dinner Place (two locations, head for the original in Roanoke), Lola and the Tasting Room at Lola for expensive stuff that's equal to that anywhere in the country, and a few more.

If you can get a table, Wilhoite's in downtown Grapevine is legendary! Ditto to Esparza's and South Prairie!

The Feedstore BBQ on White Chapel in Southlake is awesome! Best 'cue in the area!
