Does Eigensinn Farm restaurant still exist?

A search only brings up Michaels blog with no mention of the restaurant service.

Thanks

  1. Anyone? I tried calling the number a couple times but it just went to voice mail, and I haven't received a call back.

maybe try calling heisei in singhampton to ask? or if that fails try asking oysterboy (adam is good friends with michael)?

        Huh?

Either way, I'd be looking elsewhere but that's just me.

If you provide me with a way to reach you, I will send you their email address - they seem to answer that fairly quickly. As you may have noticed, they're a little unconventional/unorthodox.

You can also try this number:

        519.922.3128.

I had supper there on Friday and it was fantastic. I also left a voicemail earlier in the week with a couple questions and Noboyu called me back the next day.

As an aside, their other place inside Singhampton is called Haisai (not heisei). Stopped in there on Saturday on my way back to Toronto to pick up Red Fife sourdough and a jar of peach-rosemary jam.

      3. call them here:

        1. It definitely still exists. Friends of mine went there for dinner just a couple of weeks ago. They said it was a great experience. Price $300 per person, sans wine (it's byob).

          1. Communications has never been the Stadlander's strong suit and it's been a long standing problem that they don't answer their answering machine.

Call in the mid-afternoon between 3PM and 5:30PM, that's the most likely time to catch Nobuyo in person.

Thanks, I'll keep trying. Should I call any day, or just the days they run the resto (Fri-Sun)?

              1. re: bobbob911

When they run the resto is best bet

I also recommend you follow up with justxpete and get the e-mail contact, that's reputed to work well too,

            2. yes it still exists, I had dinner there Saturday and it was amazing. This isn't "just dinner" it's a major experience (you have to drive 2 hours, stay over, it's expensive, etc), but one well worth the trouble (at least once in your life). Once you get in touch they will give you all the info of where you can stay etc. definitely show up early to have time to meet the chickens, turkey, pigs, rabbits, ducks, cat, dogs etc on the farm. Don't wear fancy shoes!

I did get a call back from Nobuko from my voice mail yesterday. They are not booking for October yet apparently.

                Thanks for the help everyone!

By the way, could you describe the menu you had?

                  Thanks
