Vietnamese in Atlantic City.
According to today's NYTimes, Atlantic City is a hub of authentic Vietnamese food.
I missed that article and am glad you posted the link. Over the years, Little Saigon, became the only thing I really enjoyed about going to AC. If we were there with friends, me and Mrs. Z would escape from everyone in the afternoon to work our way through as much of the menu as we could. In mid to late 90s New Jersey, the suggestion of Vietnamese food was met with scowls and audible "yucks". As the article illustrates, things have certainly changed.
We've been going to Little Saigon regularly since we stumbled upon it about 5 years ago - the food is always top notch, and the menu so extensive that it'll be another 5 years of trying new things each time before we ever have to repeat...
Recent meal at Pho Sydney was better than expected. A bit dingy and run down interior, but the food was quite good. Had a beef pho, spicy shrimp pho, and beef and lemonglass rice noodles. Way too much food for 2 people, but an absolute bargain at about $30.
