Jian Nan Shui Xiang...Shanghainese in Flushing (??)
I'm curious about this restaurant after reading NYTimes article about Anita Lo's meal here....any CHers care to comment on the place?
I guess the NYT wants to keep this place a secret? Maybe it is!

Jiang Nan (江南 - Jiāng Nán) means the Shanghai area – which also includes parts of Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Zhejiang and Anhui province.
Anyone ever try Da Jiang Nan Bei across from the Gold City supermarket on Kissena? Haven't been in maybe 1.5yrs, getting too lazy for hiking out there w/o a car.
They had an excellent crab + egg yolk dish (not sure how Shanghainese it is but hey, why not), kao fu has always been decent, not too sweet, not too bland. They have a bunch of tofu knot dishes as well as meatballs in tofu skin which my mom would make all the time when I was a kid.
