Best Wings in the City

For some reason great wings seem to be in short supply in NYC, where do I need to go to get some great ones.

Any chance there's anything a little further downtown? Or in Brooklyn even?

For Brooklyn, you should ask on the Outer Boroughs board.

I had fantastic wings at a place with indoor and outside seating on Greenwich Ave. I hope someone will remember the name of the place. Indoors was small with a bar. I'm pretty sure it was not Fiddlesticks.

Bone Lick BBQ maybe? Across 7th Ave next to Two Boots? That's the only place I can think of that has outdoor seating and Buffalo Wings on Greenwich. I've not had their wings but their other stuff started off only slightly better than average and has been going downhill lately.

I don't think it was a BBQ place. And we had a variety of wings, none of them Buffalo style. Still remember the garlic parmesan ones as special standouts.

Doh! Wogies! I forgot they had outdoor seating.

Yes!!! Thanks so much--I've been trying to remember the name for ages.

                Memorably great wings.

Have been to Wogies a couple of times. When they first opened, I was somewhat impressed (not having developed a wing palate). More recently, I found their wings rather boring after ordering several varieties.

As a neighbor, I so wanted to enjoy them, as I had already begun my quest for the best--but this visit was a disappointment.

MIGHTY QUINNS is at that location now--a huge improvement over Bone Lick, I assure you.

It was WOGIES (Corner of Greenwich Avenue & Charles Street).

          2. Mudville, near WFC. Best in the city

Just checked the menu of Mudville, at 126 Chambers Street--several varieties. Thanks Prince.

            2. I tried ALL the wings in the city... the other day. Best was at Danji

              1. Croxley's Ale House in the East Village has a $0.10 or $0.20 wing night several times a week. they're great when they're good and terrible when not. better when they're busy.

                  1. Pluck You had the spiciest wings I remember

                    1. Dinosaur BBQ has good wings. The chipotle wings at Wildwood are excellent (though I'm not a fan of their bbq).

Wildwood has also closed. Sorry I missed their wings.

                      2. VIRGILS BBQ, MIGHTY QUINN, DINOSAUR BBQ chipotle garlic...trust me on this.

It's amazing Virgil's is still in business.

                        2. MIGHTY QUINNS IS THE UTMOST OF PERFECTION in the spicy wing. They just opened a new location, today, in the West Village (75 Greenwich Avenue). The person making their wings deserves the grand prize of perfection.

It doesn't get any better than this, you will fly out of there in complete ecstasy.
