Ahuva's grill (5 towns, New York)

EmpireState Aug 5, 2013 04:53 PM

Went there twice last week. It's an Israeli grill place (similar menu to Hapina in Cedarhurst). The food was really good and very fresh. Very noisy- it's a relatively small place and it was packed both times that I went. Another nice thing is that it's not on Central Avenue so you don't have to deal with the traffic and parking. It's located on Peninsula Blvd in Hewlett- in the same shopping center as Bagel Boss.

It's a sit down place. They advertise that they have Shabbat takeout on Fridays. We liked everything that we had- falafel, eggplant salad, babaghanoush, chicken shish kebob, rice. The portions are quite generous. As I mentioned above, everything is really fresh.

Did you try the one on Rockaway Turnpike & Peninsula Blvd next to the 7-11? Is it the same menu?
