I try to remain firmly in the camp of "don't knock till you try 'em" but I don't know about this one...

How were they? The have something similar at The North End Cafe in Manhattan Beach "Kahlua Pig Monte Cristo Egg Rolls" and those are great.

Sorry, it may not have been clear - I do not know, and am not rushing out to try 'em.

Those north end ones are SOOOOOOOO good... it's the Kahlua pork inside that makes them killer...

Kahlua pig inside anything (especially me!) is a delight. Kahlua pig chiles rellenos, anyone?

A candidate for "dishes that did, but shouldn't've"...

(For the record, I have not tried it either. May be amazing. I mean, the poutine probably didn't sound or look great on paper either...)

So I tried them in spite of myself.
About what I expected: greasy crunchy, gooey cheesy, meat bombs with a sweet sticky "chili" sauce. Hard not to like, harder not to feel guilty about after eating.

Lunch salad was good (but very pricey at 13 bucks)
Kale & Brussles Sprouts (Roasted Marcona Almonds, Dried Cranberries, Orange Segments, Shaved Manchego, Creole Mustard Vinaigrette).

          Very nice looking place.
