Places the Shoud've, But Didn't

I will start with Taberna Arros Y Vi. What could go wrong with the Lazy Ox dude coming to the Westside with Spanish....

Shouldn't it be "Places that Did, but Shouldn't've"? ;-)

There you go again - this is Ciaonese - the language where one intentionally uses shorter similar words to economically replace longer words yet subliminally have the same effect. :)

Dorados on Atlantic in Monterey Park was pretty solid - could have used a more varied civiche menu and upgrade to real crab - I would have paid for the upgrade without a fight. But their location probably doomed them. There might have been a feng shui issue but I think maybe they were too far into the Asian part of the SGV. If they opened in the Westside, I'd be in line right now to get my ceviche an hour later...

How about Artichoke's Heart on Melrose. Interesting concept horrible menu boards.

Sirena on Beverly in the old Penne Vino space. Should have been a winner, but appears destined to fail.
