Lunch for 10-15 persons on weekday in NW San Francisco

Chowhounds, I am looking for a nice restaurant for a no host lunch on a weekday for between 10-15 persons, preferably in NW San Francisco. (Other locales are also possible, but NW San Francisco is most convenient.)
The total cost per person should range between 30 and 45 per person, including tax, tip, but no alcoholic beverages. Convenient parking--paid is okay--is a plus. We are looking for a place that is quiet enough to talk. This is not a rowdy group--mostly sedate men and women in their fifties and sixties.
Any suggestions?
Thank you for your help.

  1. Maybe one of the places in or near the Japan Center?

    1. I would highly recommend the Presidio Social Club, just inside the Lombard Street Gate of the Presidio. There is plenty of parking available. I would certainly call ahead for a reservation. Here is the lunch menu:

P.S. The PSC does have a side room that can be shut off from the bar/main room. It would be relatively quiet in there. You can certainly ask to be seated in that area when you call for a reservation, although I can't guarantee they will put you there.

Thank you very much, David. Sounds like a good choice, and definitely worth consideration.

        2. Balboa Cafe might work.

          1. 2nd on Presidio Social Club. Across the way is Dixie, which could easily handle a party of 15.

Melanie, I have made reservations at the Presidio Social Club for this Thursday. I will let you know how it goes after the meal.
