90 year old Pioneer Tavern in Goodsprings, NV

Stumbled across this place using Google street view.

I'm skeptical re: the food (the steak in the pic below is too thin and too burned), but nonetheless I'm a sucker for a side order of history with my food, and I'd love to give it a shot on my next trip to Vegas.

The Pioneer holds motorcycle, and car events during the year. Haven't made it there myself yet, but my friends with bikes know it well.

Looking at the picture, I have to wonder if they actually serve that brand of beans straight from the can.

I know. So many questions, so few answers. This demands Chowhound reconnaissance work.

That's a great find. Never heard of the Pioneer Saloon.

Dave, when are you planning to head back this way again? Maybe we can check this place out if you're interested.

Sounds a lot like the Far Western Tavern formerly in Guadalupe, CA and apparently is now located in Orcutt.
