keste or forcella

Having dinner with wife and our 2 adult children. Who has better pizza Keste or Forcella? Will be close to downtown locations of both.

  1. I did not care for Forcella at all. I prefer a thin, crisp crust, and found Forcella's crust to be thick and doughy.

I have not been to Keste.

    1. Motorino :)

Keste is on Bleecker St in the village, Forcella is on Bowery. Not super close to each other.

I find Keste to be quite heavy and wet. Not worth the wait time. At least Forcella takes reservations. It's pretty good, not my favorite. But you can try the fried pizza.

It's called the Montenara. They flash fry it then add tomato sauce and cheese, exactly like in Naples. It's excellent .There is also a NY branch of the inventor of that style of Neopolitan pizza, called Don Antonio, on 50 th Street. Well worth it!

I second Motorino, skip Keste and Forcella

        2. I'd highly recommend Forcella, or for a thinner and crisper crust, Numero 28 on Carmine St.
