Quail's Gate - July 13th Dinner in the Vineyard

My 2 gf's & I were among the 40 or so people who attended the dinner on July 13 and I wanted to share our experience. Ambiance 10/10; food 6/10, overall experience 8/10. What we loved: being greeted with a lovely Rose, the wine pairings were excellent, really enjoyed the 3 hors d'oeuvres (oysters mignonette, brunoise of beets on a spoon & crispy prosciutto wrapped around veggie (I think)), amouse bouche of cold sweet pea soup accompanied by crab on a grapefruit section, appetizer 1 of beef carpaccio & beef tartare (I loved it, my gf's thought it was just ok); short rib croquette main & multiple desserts (macarons, cherry & raspberry tartlettes with custard or creme anglaise & peanut butter ice cream pops covered in chocolate). What we didn't love: family style service (for the $$$, service could have been more personal); salmon appetizer 2 on bed of roasted beets - salmon was too raw inside; same for the NY strip - way too blue!
