Has anyone been to this new sushi restaurant in St. Laurent?

Montreal. Thanks, lukfam, for keeping us posted on what's to eat in Montreal.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I believe you live in Montreal. I am in the city for another week and a half and *must* have a kosher smoked meat sandwich before I leave. Can you recommend a place?

Almond tree are you from detroit? I can't think of anywhere to get a smoked meat sandwich. I was asked to look in to this for my SIL but came up blank. I put a post on chowhound asking if any one had an idea but rec'd no responses. My suggestion would be #1 call Ernie and Ellie in Decarie Square # 2 would be Chops, a steakhouse. If they don't serve smoked meat ask if they have any recommendations. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. JFYI I just heard about a new sushi place in St. Laurent that opened last weekend. It is called Metsuyan Sushi - I haven't been but there is a deal avail. on Team Buys. If you do go please post a review. Thanks.

Thanks for replying. I've never been to Detroit. I live in Jerusalem, so have access to lots of types of kosher food at home but **not** Montreal smoked meat. I've been reading online and it seems the local kosher restaurants are a hit-and-miss proposition.
Have you ever tried Le Grill in the Midtown Quality Hotel?
About Metsuyan Sushi -- I have been eating so much canned fish this vacation that the thought of any more, canned, cooked or raw, is not appealing. Good luck with that.
The only restaurant I've tried so far is Mozart on Queen Mary, which was pretty good (cholovi).

No, I've never eaten at the grill. Sorry!
