Craft cocktails?

So I just finished reading "A Drunken Botanist" ... And would like to experience cocktails that came from real plants. Any recommendations? Coronado or downtown preferred...

Not sure what you mean with ...come from real plants" but Grant Lounge is using many plants, e.g. fruits, vegetables, infusions (most if them house-made) for their cocktails. They also just expanded their cocktail menu, one of the best places for cocktails in SD:

I mean no artificial colors, flavors, high fructose corn syrup, etc.. I also don't want to quiz the servers.

Grants Grill Cocktail menu looks very interesting... Thanks!

Another good option downtown is Lion's Share - tried it this weekend for the first time and liked the cocktails a lot, food from the late night menu was just OK but we only tried two dishes.

        Hmm.

        Nice Manhattan.

The guys over at Cusp are doing a very good job on their cocktails. Had a beet shrub-based drink awhile back, which was tremendous. Plenty of fresh herbs, citrus and ginger too. Very creative drinks with a keen eye on taste.
