Mission delivery for new parents? [San Francisco]

Some close friends have just had their first baby. Rather then send flowers, I'd like to send a good meal or two! I'm on the east coast so I'm not sure what's good now.

Key factors:
They live in the mission.
I'd prefer delivery if possible but willing to do take out.
Ideally the restaurant sells gift certificates.
Most cuisines are fine.

Thanks for any recommendations!

Mission Chinese delivers. It's not your standard Chinese cuisine, some people love and some hate it (I really like it myself).

I think Henry's Hunan (Church St. location) would also deliver to the Mission. There one of our reliable delivery options.

Nice thing about Mission Chinese is that they deliver outside the Mission too-- I haven't bothered going to the restaurant in years.

Looking on Yelp, looks like Udupi Palace (South Indian) and Gajalee (seafood / Goan Indian) deliver. Same with Rhea's sandwiches.

I've been pleased with delivery from Angkor Borei (Cambodian).

I believe Bi-Rite will deliver a custom basket.

When my cousin had twins, her standbys were Lotus Garden (Vietnamese) and Angkor Borei (Cambodian).

I highly recommend Evolution Catering which has healthy prepared foods delivery once a week for much of the Bay Area:

        Menu changes weekly.

You might also consider something like Good Eggs, which can deliver a variety of prepared and fresh foods from multiple vendors.

They're very nice people, and for $1(?) they'll do concierge service to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Worth an email or a call.

My favorite dishes: any roasted fish, paleo "rice" made from cauliflower, cherry-quinoa-fig bites, corncakes, and their health nut salad with roasted chicken.

I haven't used them, but a friend really likes Good Eggs. http://www.goodeggs.com/sfbay

Munchery is a service that was mentioned here a while back that piqued my curiosity. Maybe others have opinions about the service? https://munchery.com/

Spicy Bite is solid Indian food with limited but pretty unique Indo-Chinese offerings - we love their hot and sour soup. I believe they deliver throughout the Mission.

I've used Munchery when I was sick and had a ton of work; I was impressed. I'd think it would be great for this type of gift--the new parents can select an array of cuisines on the day that suits them best.

Darn! Bought an evolution meals gc this morning but love the idea of the munchery with the variety! Maybe for the next baby...
