Good place to stop for lunch on Interstate 5 between L.A. and S.F.....other than Harris Ranch?

Heading up to Bay Area tomorrow. Usually stop at Harris Ranch for lunch......which we like a lot, but wondering if there isn't some other great place to try. Particularly near the mid-point of the drive. I know there's interesting Basque food in Bakersfield, but I'm looking for something right off of the Interstate.

Hot City BBQ in Los Banos is open on Friday and is very good. Easy on and off Highway 5.Located at 1313 S 6th st. There is also a highly rated Basque restaurant in Los Banos. Wool Growers restaurant is located at 609 H Street and is open from 11:30-2:00 and 4:30-8:30.

Some people like the sausage factory in Gustine - we were't impressed, but maybe we ordered the wrong thing. At least it is unique. http://www.wolfsensausage.com

A big detour, but Kern River Brewery for me.

The Refuge in San Carlos is not on I5, but 101. It's worthy pastrami but has verged too lean. No competition for Langers.

And my stop on I5 is Buttonwillow for pupusas. Three choices: Tita's truck, Elsy's truck, Tita's sit-down restaurant.

If you'll be in San Francisco proper, you might want to try the housecured pastrami at Wise Sons.

The territory around Harris Ranch is covered over on the California board http://chowhound.chow.com/boards/3 so you want to post your request over there. Take a look at this thread http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/8832... from that board and see if you get any ideas.
