Need a few can't miss restaurants. Nothing stuffy, just a fun scene with great food and great wine lists!

Thanks!

Thanks for the info everyone! I've got three spots booked, Bazaar, Katsuya and Dutch!

      In no particular order
      The Dutch
      PB Steak
      Pubbelly
      Pubbelly Sushi
      Barceloneta
      Macchialina
      Sardinia
      Lucali

All of these restaurants are in south beach and they are all better than Yardbird.

I have not tried Michael Schwartz at the Raleigh but that is probably another option. I have also not tried Tongue and Cheek which I hear mixed things about.

Michael's Genuine is really good and has great wine list. Yardbird is good for southern style food, but they specialize is American whiskies. Orantique on the mile, also, has good food and a very good wine list.

Neither Michael's Genuine nor Ortanique are on South Beach.

Restaurant Michael Schwartz at the Raleigh has sort of the "greatest hits" of the Michael's Genuine menu (and some other items) at one of my favorite hotels on South Beach, with mostly outdoor seating by the pool.

TP's suggestions below are all good - though I find the Dutch's wine list overpriced. TP left out Bazaar which has great food, great scene, and a very good Spanish-centric wine list.

I thought Bazaar would be too fancy but if not, it is a great choice as it is one of my favorite places.

If you want a fun scene I think it's hard to beat - if the restaurant space is too stuffy can always sit outside at Bar Centro, and you can still order a partial selection of the Bazaar menu.

Bar Centro is really hot in the summer. I do not recommend this. I went a month ago (not my choice) on a humid day and not only was it uncomfortable, but the humidity had an adverse affect on the food (for example, the bagels and lox cone got soggy). If you go now, go to the restaurant.

I took the OP's request to mean lower maintenance when the OP clearly wanted sceney which the Bazaar does nicely. I would not have chosen Katsuya though, especially since it is right next to Bazaar and has the same pre Hyde crowd going to it.
