Ma & Paw's daughter is in Hollywood, need advice.

Long time coming, but my sister is in Hollywood with her husband and 2 kids (9, 12) they'll be there for 3 days and Santa Monica 3 days. Ma & Pa's adventure was so swell, I'd like some Hollywood advice...The rules:

1. money is not really an object with them, but they do have 2 kids under 14 and ambiance and good food are paramount.

2. ambiance is not white tablecloths, my sister is from Alabama.

3. staying at Loews in Hollywood, so a walk breakfast and lunch is great.

**Alabama, Arkansas I do love my ma and pa. Thanks again for the advice for mom and dad, they fell in love with Santa Monica and our food options.

TIA, ~~ck

    1. 25 Degrees for breakfast, lunch or dinner since they are open 24/7.

The kids would probably enjoy the Disney Soda Fountain as well.

      1. Juicy Burger is a super-yum burger, on Hollywood Blvd, N side of the street, just E of Highland. Loteria is very close to that. Easy walk from the hotel. Kitchen 24 is a solid breakfast/lunch spot, Cahuenga near Selma, short walk from hotel. Super close to there, on Sunset right near Amoeba and the Dome, is Stella Rosa, which I haven't been to, but is getting pretty good reviews. And right over there, there's Melt, a grilled cheese restaurant, The Waffle, which IMO is so-so, but good for breakfast, and my old standby, Tender Greens. Stout on Cahuenga is solid for a burger (and good beer on tap). If they want something maybe a little nicer, Hungry Cat is right there, on Vine/Selma, and I'm sure is cool with kids (I highly recommend the Kumquat Martini if they are drinkers). And I'm going to throw this one in...(cover your eyes, 'hounds) I like Buffalo Wild Wings. There. I said it.

It's actually Stella Barra, not Stella Rosa, and you're right, it would probably be a good pick for the OP.

Ah yes. You're right. Stella Rosa is the wine I keep seeing advertised on billboards :)

        2. Where did you (they) end up and how did they like/dislike where and what they ate?
