Restaurants with Mason Jars?

In mid-August, I have a big team dinner I need to organize for work. Due to the nature of our business, I would prefer that we dine at a place in lower Manhattan (we'll be somewhere between the NY Stock Exchange and Union Square) that features mason jars as decor and/or serving dishes. It needs to be a nicer dinner, so I have to steer clear of BBQ joints and such.

Something like Lincoln ( in DC perhaps.

Since I'm not familiar enough with Manhattan, does anyone here have any recommendations? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

  1. does big modify team or dinner in your first sentence? that is, are you a big group or is the significance of this dinner great. even more succinctly: how big is your group.

my immediate thought was hill country, which i see is a no go based on your other parameters.

"Big" was intended to modify "team". Apologies for not being clear enough. Specifically 12-15 people.

      1. Saxon & Parole serves a couple of menu items (the "pots") in mason jars, it's nice, and it's in your preferred area:

And a random google search led me to:

which is, sadly, a bbq joint. And in Murray Hill, too far uptown for you. Alas.

        1. Spotted Pig serves their "Pot of Pickles" in a mason jar. Not sure if it qualifies as "nice", though.

          1. Try Feast! It's in East Village... great for a huge group

This looks right on the money. Thank you.

Good suggestion, though it's not a massive place, so a huge group would depend on how huge.

They have a downstairs party room.

Although please let us know what day you guys go because service in the main room slows down for massive groups ;)

10-12 people, so hopefully not too disruptive. ;-) But we may be there the night of 8/17.
