I just moved to the Inner Sunset and am on a tight budget. Any grocery store recommendations? Possibly one with a bulk section? Thanks!

You should check out Parkside market on Taraval. It has bulk spices, legumes, olives, and other items and good prices on mostly conventional produce. I don't know the store well, having only been there a couple times, but it's certainly worth exploring.

People go to 22nd & Irving Market from all over the city.

Rainbow Grocery (eccentric vegetarian collective) is a schlep from the Sunset but may have the best bulk section in the world.

Yes, Rainbow. A friend remarked on his delight to have figured out the Portola Dr wormhole to get from his home in the Mission out to the Sunset. That driving route will come in handy to get to Rainbow from Miss G's new home.

Yes, that "wormhole" is crucial to enjoying the city. I always called it "25th and a half street", because the Misson end (Clipper St) is between 25th and 26th starting at Dolores.

Clipper -> Porola Dr -> Woodside -> Laguna Honda (depending on the part of the Sunset you're aiming for).... when I was living in what is now Dogpatch, I could cross over on Chavez (army) and pick up the end of the wormhole very easily - although the 280 / 19th ave end-run works when traffic is light.
