Can anyone recommend "moderately priced" restaurants in this area? (Any type of cuisine)

What is your definition of moderate? Is BYOB ok?

I second Matyson. Another good BYOB near there is Melograno at 20th & Sansom.

Matyson does a prix fixe themed tasting menu every week for 45 dollars that is usually a great deal (four courses including dessert.). They also have a themed Sunday dinner (think the theme this month is Salmon) and its 35 dollars. Small space and can get a bit loud when full but really a nice restaurant.

19th and Sansom is very close to Rittenhouse Square, so any threads on this board dealing with Rittenhouse Square will be worth looking at.
And really, center city isn't that big. If you like walking, even a little, going as far east as Broad or as far south as South won't be a big deal (though if you do both, say, if you went to Sbraga, it's getting to be a bit of a hike).
All of which is to say that unless you really want a place that's within 1 block, you can look at most of the threads on this board dealing with center city. If you do want it within a block, yes, Matyson, Melograno, and also Tinto, are good choices.

If you like seafood, the Oyster House between 15th and 16th is good, although not cheap
