Newly opened this week. Bistrot-ish food, straightforward and well-made, well textured ingredients, rich flavours in the sauces.

Rich oceany saffron in the sauces that lifts tender monkfish cheeks that have just the right bouncy texture. Supple beef cheeks, meaty and moist from braising. Ripe fruity roasted peach, soft against the crumble of a little sable breton and tangy creme fraiche.

Excellent classic French cooking at very modest prices - starters around £6-ish, mains about £12, desserts at £4.50.

  1. Thanks for this. We walked by on our way to Zucca, and it looked lively, will definitely check it out.
