Kuala Lumpur - Sheer deliciousness at Brux-ale Belgian Bistro, Bangsar

A welcome little piece of Brussels among Jalan Telawi Bangsar's eclectic mix of restaurants. Had a quick dinner here this evening enroute to checking out the Ramadhan month outdoor food market down the road.

What I liked about Brux-Ale:
- Unpretentious, down-to-earth cooking: the onion soup was flavoursome - the onions caramelised to provide a sweetness to the broth, topped with a melted cheese and crouton. It was wholesome deliciousness.
- The main course of grilled pork sausage with Liegeois "salad" was colourful, crunchy and surprisingly substantial. The "salad" was sauteed with bacon and much greasier than I'd have liked, but I loved the bitterish little Brussel sprouts, the crisp snowpeas, tart cherry tomatoes, carrot matchsticks and the potatoes. The pork sausage tasted home-made with a coarse texture - a must-not-miss!

Friendly, efficient service. Love, love, love this place. Definitely going back to check out the rest of the menu.
