Doesn't sound like there's a whole lot of difference between them.

Seasoned ground beef in the Enchirito v chicken or steak, rice and chipotle sauce in the new one plus much larger tortilla. Lots of filler carbs... YUK!

        Repackage, rebrand. reissue. Great marketing.

Interestingly enough, the grubgrade.com site has a review of the Smothered Burrito (chicken) up today. Other than being a little overly salty they give it a pretty outstanding review. The Chow Supertaster also did a review and found it pretty much horrible.

I was kind of pissed that they got rid of their beefy crunch wrap burritos - they were actually pretty good, and a great bargain for $1. First they raised the price on them, then they got rid of them.

Their taco bowls they came out with last year with that celebrity chef lady were abysmal. Everything that was supposed to be "green" looked grey, grey old dried cilantro in the rice, the green sauce they squirted all over them was grey and oxidized looking too. The lettuce was all wilted. It was a mess.

Rumour has it that anything TB has ever made can still be had at their stores.

I tried one of these last week. It was actually pretty decent. Wouldn't be good for a car drive, tho, as its messy and you actually have to use a knife and a fork to cut through the thick tortilla wrapper.

They are going to be testing a breakfast waffle taco in some select areas.

I was just coming to see if anyone had posted about the breakfast waffle taco... I haven't ever had taco bell, and probably wouldn't go get the waffle taco, but it's certainly something I'd think about making at home.

Three of us tried it this weekend. Three of us won't be ordering it again.

Ha. I just had one not 10 minutes ago.

I liked it. It had some nice flavour with a bit of chipotle mixed in there somewhere. All in all, you could do alot worse at TB or another national chain.
