Boonville - Table 128 and Aquarelle

Geoff Jul 22, 2013 11:37 AM

Posted this on the Bay Area board also, not sure if Anderson Valley fits better here or there.

Will be staying at the Boonville Hotel next month. Have been several times before, and every iteration of the hotel's restaurant has been really, really good. Table 128 appears to be carrying on in that tradition.

A relative newcomer in town in Aquarelle. Looks good, and I've read a few conflicting things about it. So..........

any experience to share? I have reservations for two dinners at Table 128, trying to decide if Aquarelle is worth giving one of those up. Thanks for any thoughts!

No word on Aquarelle yet, but a few more ideas in this thread.

Melanie, thanks for asking! The hotel is better than ever, and Table 128 was OUTSTANDING. Aquarelle was booked up for private events, so we ate twice at 128. Seriously - if you haven't been up there in a while, the trip will be well worth it. The Valley continues to be beautiful, and the fare was just great. I had a chance to chat with John Schmidt, who told me that they finally feel (after all these years) like they're really, really beginning to fire on all cylinders. We agree.

Good to hear, it's on the list! And hopefully we'll see something here about Aquarelle before your next visit.
