Yes I tried it, wrote a little something about in the openings 2013 thread I believe. Basically its not bad at all, great if you live in that area (since theres not much else to eat around there), but I personally enjoy those types of meats in a sandwich which they do not offer. Its worth a try if you live near by but its not worth going out of your way for imo..

Would also love to hear some words on this place. Been wanting to go back to Rubs for some time now and since they've been pushing back their re-opening, I was gonna give this place a shot.

They are now open for lunch.

The brisket sandwich was spot on, it had a perfect beefy smoky flavour with just enough fat in it. Much more moist than the most recent brisket sandwich I tried at Blackstrap but not quite as good as they best brisket sandwich I've had at Triple Crown (different beast though).

I wasn't crazy about the type of bread buns they used (POM) but then again I hate to say it but that type of industrial bread works the best for these sandwiches unless you could make your own perfect buns like Triple Crown.

For 8.99 just for a sandwich they could have filled the sandwich with a bit more beef. It only comes with a very small side portion of coleslaw which I really enjoyed, I wish they had included more of that too.

I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered tater tots for 2.99 as a side but I did, they were just what you would expect...oily tater tots.

I'll probably be back since it's in the neighbourhood as the product overall is of very good quality.

Glad to hear they offer sandwiches now but using POM bread is just awful. That bread is poison, makes me feel horrible when I eat it. Its the equivalent of using processed cheese.
Do they only offer sandwiches at lunch?

No idea if sandwiches are exclusive to lunch but they are only listed under their lunch menu.

Forgot to mention that their brisked was pulled as opposed to sliced.

I'm usually not a fan of sandwich bread, but for the sake of authenticity because I know it's something that people look for in here, a lot of authentic southern joints manned by blacks in the states use white sandwich bread.
