Best Meats and Cheese in the Valley?

Shiggy Jul 21, 2013 04:58 PM

I'm trying to move forward with a business idea, but I need help finding local places that specializes in meats and cheese, specifically deli or sandwich meats.

I am also interested in specialty cheese that melt and blend well with deli meats.

Wedge and Bottle is the best in the valley without question if you are looking for top of the line

Not sure on a wholesale side though

I also need to find a place that produces ham, turkey, roast beef, pastrami, salami, pepperoni, prosciutto, chicken, and bacon.

For easy start up call your local Boar's Head distributor. if you want locally grown, probably have to shop around a bit, maybe look at the Local First providers list. Try Jesse at Amalgamated Foods for more niche brands and Italian cold cuts.

I would check the Pork Shop in Queen Creek. They sell many fine locally-produced pork products. They are closed July 28 - August 28 for their annual summer vacation, but you can view their product list at http://theporkshopaz.com.

Gelato Dolce Vita has expanded to include a fabulous selection of Italian meats and cheeses. They have a few tables and make some exceptional food in the kitchen, too. In Mesa.
