Well where are you? Hollywood and Miami can be an hour apart.

I'll be in Hollywood this fall, where is the chowish take-out?

I've never had anything chowish in Hollywood, though Levy's is pretty good for Israeli grill.

I grew up in Hollywood - I happen to really like Sara's Pizza though service is slow, and then there's also Avigdor's Mozart Cafe. Sara's has been open forever - they have crazy variety.

I don't know about Eighteen Sauces but it looks compelling to try out: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...

Aroma Market on Stirling Road in Cooper City is a great place for take-out and all your grocery needs. They have a great wine selection as well.
Kosher Central in the Emerald Plaza Shopping Center on Stirling Road in Hollywood (near 56th Ave) is in the process of expanding and also has a great take- out selection and groceries of every kind.
Levy's on Sheridan St. is a fleishig restaurant . They are quite good and can prepare anything for take out.
You will find many restaurants and little groceries along the entire length of Stirling Road from I95 on westward to Cooper City.

True. But it doesn't tell you if the food is any good.

Clearly there are many kosher places in this area. I'm looking for something like sephardic home cooking. No kugels, no soggy vegetables from frozen bags. Fresh ingredients, freshly prepared. Any suggestions?

I live more in Miami so the only place I know closer up by Hollywood with great food is etzel itzhik - GREAT Sephardic food but not kosher :( its right across fhe way from shalom haifa (kosher but expensive Not so great).
There is also a kosher supermarket with some takeout called Sarah's tent. It's not bad.

Down on Miami beach I suggest Asi grill. Not cheap but I really enjoy the salads.

You know I'm not kosher so I don't actively seek out kosher restaurants so I'm not an authority on the subject. But also on the beach is Shokolad - they make their own chocolate. It's amazing but pricey

I enjoy the falafel at Pita Plus for quick take-out
