Making dinner for my mother in law's birthday tomorrow. Various antipasti, homemade pici pasta w garlic and olive oil, then the sausage for a secondo. Can't decide what to make for a veggie side. Ideas?
Thanks, all. I don't have her book so couldn't see any suggestions. Per hubby's request I ended up making Brussels sprouts w shallots and balsamic. Not entirely seasonal but always tasty. Dinner was a hit!
I would make broccoli rabe,spinach/Swiss chard with raisins and pine nuts or raw zucchini salad(you could also saute it)I would make something light and refreshing. I think the plate would look quite bare without a cotorno.
