Tacoma suggestions for vegetarian-friendly restaurant - inexpensive, hip?

I'm sure there must be some cool places to eat good food in Tacoma, but I'm not at all familiar with the city. Vegetarian accompanying so it would be nice if there were more choices than a gardenburger or pasta primavera for dinner on the menu. Ethnic would be great, i.e. Ethiopian, Thai, Indian, etc. Any ideas?

Indochine is an excellent recommendation. I also suggest you check out Marrow (www.marrowtacoma.com) which has a split menu: One for vegetarians and one for carnivores. Both options are excellent.

Indochine in downtown Tacoma is an Asian restaurant (used to be known as primarily Thai) that is consistently very good and has a lot of options for vegetarians. My husband is a vegetarian and he loves the place. I am an omnivore and I enjoy it as well.
