20 lbs of cooked pork

A freind is coming into town in a few weeks, and is looking for 20 pounds of cooked pork shoulder that she's going to use to make carnitas. She's asking for roasted pork. Yes, I understand that to make carnitas you should first fry or brown the pork, then roast/braise with seasonings. She's asking for "pulled pork to make carnitas". I'm just doing as I'm asked.

The question is, where can I get 20 pounds of roasted pork shoulder, that won't cost an arm and a leg (see what I did there)?

If I wasn't having 20 guests over the same day she's asking for it, I'd just make it myself for her, but I don't think I can swing the time to do it, unless I braise the 20 pounds a few days ahead of time, then figure out a way of keeping it cold without using up a significant amount of fridge space which I'm going to need.

    Costco
Otherwise call around to the usual suspects and price check it. Angus Meats in Maplewood usually seems to win for me. You could also check that program at the U on the St. Paul campus. I've never been, but here the prices are quite low.

Ah, sorry, maybe I wasn't clear in the original post, but the friend is looking for the meat already cooked. Would Costco, Angus, et al. have roasted shoulders?

Cinco De Mayo Mercado 3733 Nicollet Ave Minneapolis, MN 55409. I seem to remember that they have it. It was around $5 per #. I'm not sure how much spice it has but it had some.

El Burrito Mercado in St. Paul on the West Bank, Ceaser Chavez, similar prices as Cinco de Mayo

+1 El Burrito Mercado. I love their carnita and I'm sure they would make enough for you to just pick up.
