Mamma Maria attempts new menu...and gelato
Gelato with Capogiro down the street? And FIFTEEN dollars for spaghetti with garlic and oil? I wish them luck.
More competition is only good for the Ave. Yeah that dish seems high but overall the prices are in line with the neighborhood.
While I doubt I will be trying the gelato at Mamma Maria's anytime soon, I rarely go to that Capogiro outpost anymore because the quality is not the same as Center City. Since the product is made elsewhere and delivered frozen, I have had too many scoops there with either freezer burn or slightly melted to pay those prices.
Hmm, the gelato is coming from Bindi in Italy. From what I know (admittedly not much), it's not even that good.
