Good inexpensive restaurant near MOMA

I'm trying to plan a grad school reunion for 10 in midtown NYC next week. I was thinking Chinese for the communal aspect, but would be happy with any recommendations [good pizza??]. An important consideration is price [we have non-lucrative educations]. Many thanks

La Bonne Soup is nearby and inexpensive, if you like French.

We're fans of La Bonne as well.

Not near MOMA, but still in midtown, would be Szechuan Gourmet on 39th Street between 5th and 6th. Lots of discussion of the place on here. But further north than that -- I got nothing.

The Szechuan Gourmet on 56th and 8th is probably closer.

Whenever we have tickets to see an exhibit at MoMa, we make a point of heading to La Bonne Soupe
        http://labonnesoupe.com/menus/.

They make wonderful burgers and the prices are good for the area. I really like their Steak Haché au Poivre burger myself.

        Have fun!

Angelo's Pizza, more of a restaurant with other inexpensive options, on 57th between 5th-6th Aves would be a good choice.

            Wu Liang Ye is nearby.

There's also Bill's Burger in Rockefeller Center.

            PizzArte is very close by.

Try Katsu Hama for Japanese cutlets and ramen.

Ippudo West also just opened nearby though I'm not sure about their ability to handle a group of 10.

Otherwise Szechuan Gourmet on 56th Street and 8th Ave, as suggested upthread, would be a good choice.
