Solo dining walking distance from Hotel Monaco

I did a search but didn't find anything specific. I need a nice but not stuffy place for solo dining within walking of Hotel Monaco. Any food expect Mexican is great. Price range from the teens-30 for entree. Don't care if there isn't a full bar.

  1. Tasty and Alder is one option
Slightly farther away would be Oven and Shaker

Two other options (more casual but very good) would be Lardo (sandwiches) and Grassa (pasta).

Clyde Common looks to be about five blocks away. I'd eat there as a single diner. We had a really outstanding game hen dish there last year.

Are either Little Bird or Higgins good for solos?

Thanks for the suggestions. I went to Veritable Quandary. The only tables they had outside for solo dinners were two tiny ones on the sidewalk but it was so hot there was no way I was going to eat at the bar which was also available. The food was very pleasing and the entire meal of two small dishes (pork belly & rabbit pate) , a cup of the cucumber & yogurt soup and a peach lemonade only came to 30 dollars. The portion size of the rabbit pate was quite large.
