Grocery Outlet July 2013

No thread yet?

At Oakland 7/16:

79 cents -- big selection of individual Chobani, including the hard-to-find pear flavor

They're clearing out a couple of items they've been selling for a while at $1.49:

2/$1 Alouette creme fraiche. I don't worry about the ex. date -- it keeps forever in the fridge
2/$1 Ritter Sport bars -- not all the flavors, the hazelnut are still $1.49

I'm hooked on:

$1.99/liter(tetrapak) Zico dark chocolate coconut water, chocolatey, not too sweet

They've had a good selection of Immaculate Baking refrigerated dough products (no hydrogenated oils, no HFCS) at $1.49. I tried the biscuits, which were okay, and the cinnamon rolls, which were pretty good. They also have the pie crusts.

  1. Shopped at the Ukiah store on Sunday and bought La Tortilla Factory handmade style yellow corn tortillas, $2 for pack of 8. Regular price is close to $3.

Oh yeah, I've been buying those at Oakland. They seem to be carrying them as part of their regular stock. I like the green chile ones.

Santa Rosa store seems to be stocking the full LTF line. A little odd, given they've phased out much of their Mexican food selections. Not sure why - we've a large Hispanic population here.

      2. Watch for the opening of Grocery Outlet in SF at Geary Blvd. and 27th Avenue.

I walked by the store yesterday and it's bare inside. There were some shelves to one side. As mentioned, they have a long way to go. I remember reading that they were shooting for a fall opening.

        2. Oakland today:

79 cents -- Pacific foods 16 oz. soups, Corn Chowder, Southwestern chowder and Minestrone

79 cents -- Chobani, Black Cherry, Peach and Pomegranate

          2/$1 -- Wallaby low-fat yogurt, maple
