Good buns for roast pig

I'm roasting a pig this weekend and I'm wondering where best to go for lots of buns for bbq? Driving from Edgewater. .

If you're a member, the buns at Costco are usually pretty good.

I'm not but I am at Sam's. Although I'd rather support a local bakery than either Sam's or Costco. I have a feeling I'll be getting some there though.

Bolillo rolls at any latin market are traditional for a torta de lechon.

I agree with you for a torta. However, if OP is just doing barbeque I'd get hamburger buns.

I think the pig deserves better. Also, a bit of chicharron and habanero salsa.

I have the impression he's doing bbq not a Mexican dish. But I've been wrong before. We went for Mexican the other day and got four different salsas plus pico de gallo.

Good to know. I was thinking of putting a little twist on it. Possibly stuffing with Pineapple & Onion with a cumin based rub. In that line of thought though I was thinking of getting corn torts and having onion, cilantro and a roast salsa (roasting tom, garlic, onion, jalp, cilantro, lime) under the pig

Your ideas sounds great! But those vegetables will be ready in minutes so you may want to rethink that. Maybe put them on when the pig comes off?
