It is related to Fiesta Patio in San Antonio (actually, Universal City, but it used to be on Old Austin Highway when it opend in 1974). The same natural ingredients are used -- brown rice, refried beans with no lard but delicious flavor, puffy tacos, flavorful salsas, etc. I always remembered the clean taste I was left with after eating at Fiesta Patio and the same is now true of Vivo. I love the decor, too -- especially the purple bathroom! Roger, the owner and son of the original Fiesta Patio owners, told me he is offering 2-for-1 entrees on Tuesday nights. We can't wait to try it for the evening! I wanted to share this with you all since we enjoyed it so much & felt it is really different from the usual Tex-Mex.
