Broken Record, despite having lost their previous chefs to Rickybobby in the Lower Haight, is still serving and interesting menu.

According to this article from a few months back, the newer chefs are formerly of Smoke BBQ. http://www.sfexaminer.com/sanfrancisco/new-chef-at-broken-record-in-excelsior-neighborhood-play-out-nicely/Content?oid=2320711

I recently had their burger and it's not the bacon burger the previous chefs made. It's a solid beef burger, but the bottom of the bun got mushy from grease before it was half done. Ribs were great. More sauce than I prefer, but the meat underneath was smokey and juicy. Brussels sprouts had lightly cooked and crisp sprouts, and blue cheese. Lots of other interesting stuff on the menu. Hearty fare, definitely intended to be eaten with a pint.
